I hate introductions, because they should be short and to the point, while I love to blabber for hours.
Out of courtesy, though, and with the idea of keeping things neat and organized in mind, I’ll force myself through this and try to make this as brief as possible.
So, you can call me THVBH. I know you won’t, because even 5 letters is too long for most people, so I’ll probably end up as THV, TH, or maybe even T. Hell, why not leave just a blank space when talking about me, fresh and open to interpretation.
Some of you may not know me (this sounds so unreal and stupid that it’s funny, of course EVERYONE knows me). Well, you’ll figure out my sense of humor sooner or later, but you’ll have to do it on your own 🙂 Just to give you a hint though, I’m rarely serious, and that will go double for this blog.
Anyway, all this pointless chatter (told ya!) and I still didn’t answer the question that you may have already asked yourself a few times while reading this so far. What is this blog about? For now, it’s about game design. Specifically, Pokemon games design. This is something I’ve been interested for such a long time, that it has turned into a very dear hobby of mine. Now, I’ve seen a lot of people who played Pokemon in the past, or even play them now, and it’s scary how many of them are simply unaware of the extensive thought process that goes into designing a franchise as big as this one. They often think that Game Freak has run out of ideas, run ouf of colors, run out of steam… OH HOW WRONG THEY ARE.
If you’re one of those people, I open the door before you, the gates to the land of wonder! You’ll be amazed at what you may find. I’ll write articles in here about things that you may have never even thought about, yet they’re perfect examples of how much love and thought Game Freak pours into their soon-to-turn eighteen-year-old pocket baby (it’s way past the age of consent!). If you’re like me, perhaps you can find out something you never knew before, or maybe I can learn something from YOU! Who knows?
Before I finish, however, I want to note that it’ll not be your usual “50 things you didn’t know about Pokemon” that everyone knows. You won’t read about how Rhydon was the first Pokemon designed here, or how Gold and Silver were supposed to be last Pokemon games. This is something anyone can read up on Bulbapedia (which is great by the way, if SOMEHOW you never heard about it, get out of that rock you live under and explore!) and I won’t bore you with things like that (unless the knowledge of these things will be necessary in order to understand something else I will be trying to tell you).
This concludes this “introduction”. If you got this far, CONGRATULATIONS, you just wasted a good chunk of your life that you could’ve wasted on trying to breed a good natured, perfect IV Unown (this is the first and last time where I’m specifically pointing out a joke. If you comment about how Unown doesn’t breed, then I hope the flames of hell engulf you). Look out for the first article, “You were playing Red and Blue all along”. THVBH out, “smell ya later!”
Oh, by the way, I know the appearance is generic and boring, I’ll work on the theme along the way, for now I’m content over looks and quality over quantity! (do you see that pun? DO YOU SEE IT?!)
